What does the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor LED indicator light mean?

1) LED light blinks blue:
Device is not yet connected to Wi-Fi internet. Please follow instructions on “Setup – Add a Device” in the user manual when adding a new device.
2) LED light is solid blue:
Device is connected to the Wi-Fi internet

Unable to add a new device?

Please check the LED light indicator status and follow instructions on operating the device.
1) LED light indicator not on:
Please check to make sure the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor is installed correctly and the light switch is on.
2) LED light indicator blinks blue:
Device is not connected to Wi-Fi internet. Please follow instructions on “Setup – Add a Device” in the user manual when adding a new device.
3) LED light indicator is solid blue:
Device is connected to Wi-Fi internet. To add a device, please scan the QR Code, attached on a card tag with the device, or use LAN Search. If you are still unable to add a device, please press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds until the LED indicator light blinks red to restore the device to its factory settings.

How to restore a device to its factory settings?

Press and hold the reset button located on the device for 8 seconds until the LED indicator light blinks red, which means the device has restored to its factory settings.

What is the difference between a device SSID password, device password, and Wi-Fi network password?

1) Device SSID password:
This is used during initial setup or setup after a device has restored to its factory settings for iPhone only. When the LED indicator light blinks blue, please follow the steps on your app. Go to iPhone Settings, and select “wuucam” from a list of Wi-Fi network and enter the device SSID password to connect your mobile to the device.
2) Device password:
This is the password for the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor. If you forgot your password, press the reset button on the device to restore to its factory settings. It is recommended that you change your password regularly.
3) Wi-Fi network password:
To establish connection with the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor during initial setup, please make sure to select the current Wi-Fi network that your mobile is connected to.

What to do if the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor fails to connect to the internet?

1) Check to make sure the device power is on.
2) Is your Wi-Fi router working properly and connected?
3) Is your mobile phone internet settings turned on?

How many mobile phones can access and view a single Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor device at a time?

A Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor device can have up to 4 mobile phones access and view it at the same time.

What to do when you have forgotten the Device password?

Please check to see if another Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor user has changed the password. If you are unable to use the device, please press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds until the LED indicator light blinks red to restore the device to its factory settings.

What is the maximum storage capacity for the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor device?

The Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor comes with a Micro SD Card that supports up to 32GB of storage for video recordings and photos.

What is an event clip? Where is the event clip stored?

Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor has a PIR sensor that can detect abnormal event activity when it senses motion. When an event is detected, the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor will automatically record an event before it happens and store the video clip to the SD card.

If I have more than one Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor device on my app, how will I view the event clip when there is abnormal activity?

Open the Kalay Home Smart Light Camera-Outdoor app and select the Event button, which is located on the bottom right of the Dashboard screen. On the Event screen, select the device from the top by tapping on the down arrow, then choose the video you want to view for that device from the timeline below.

How can I turn off the event notification function?

Go to the Mobile Setting and select KalayLightCam app to turn off the notification function. Please note that once the notification is turned off, you will not receive an instant notice when something happens.
